Sorry for the late response. Congrats. This is a very strong tool for genealogy, as you will have a DNA match to Sigurd (who had no children) so it means the match is also with his parents. This puts you into the tree in GENI for him and his ancestors including cousin trees. The best thing you can do is ad sources as much as you can for your relatives leading up to his profile in GENI.

Do you know if anyone has created a Gedmatch for the sample? My current path here in Geni shows something like a 17th cousin, so I am curious to see what the DNA comparison looks like.

This is listed as a Deep Dive match, as well. But genetic distance is not provided. Possibly hidden by the level I currently am. MTA is occasionally quite frustrating! :-) I'm not sure if there is a way to suss out genetic distance from the bit of info they provide in a deep dive match when they do not disclose genetic distance?
