Do you have any idea where the THW was buried that died in 1888 on his farm Cloverdale -Stutterheim district ?
From what I can gather, he was buried on this farm, but about 1980 the Wriggleswade dam was built there and the high level water mark covered the graves.
My Cousins (Angus Warren) Grandfather possibly moved the headstones before the dam was finished but not 100 % sure.about this.
I was looking for them this past Dec. and on the DAM map it indicates a heap of stones on the high level watermark corresponding to where the graves were. The water level was extremely low, but I could find neither the heap of stones nor any sign of the graveyard.
By the way,I grew up only about 4 km as the crow flies from Cloverdale. I took some photo's.
Without looking I guess the THW I speak about is the father of your THW in your forefather list above, so he is our 1st common descendant ?
