William Nichols, Snr, Free Settler "Ocean" 1804 and Fanny Frances Nichols, Free Settler "Ocean" 1804 have 3 children called Caroline

1) Caroline Nichols, infant born before 1798 died 1802
2) Caroline Belbin born 1798 died 1854
3) Caroline Belbin born 1809 died 1854

Can anyone provide any sources for these Caroline's?

By the middle of 1802 William and Fanny had four children, another child having died as a baby. By then they lived in Wych Street, in St Clement Danes, but they had originally lived in Mile End and Whitechapel.

In July 1802 William wrote to Sir Joseph Banks, requesting information about migrating to Australia. In August he wrote a similar letter to Lord Hobart. In January 1803 he wrote again, this time to Lord Melville, via his secretary William Budge. He mentions that in the six months since his first letter he has “Buried one Child”. This would be Caroline, who died in November 1802.
