I am currently working on a book about the origins of the van Vredenburch family. This record of Hugo Gerritsz.van Vredenburch appears with the indication that he was a baron. As I have not been able to varify his official title or really very much else about him, I am curious about the 'baron' title here. If you might have information regarding him having such a title, I would be very interested in hearing more about it.
