Jemima Leonard is the GRANDDAUGHTER of Henry Axtell, (1641-1676) , Marlborough, MA, killed in King Phillips War, NOT his 2nd wife. She is my 6th great grandmother and the wife of Henry Axtell, (1715-1754), aka Henry the Blacksmith from Mendham, NJ.

Thank you!!! It dawned on me this morning, I could have proven this through my DAR patriot, Zephaniah Burt. His wife was Hannah Axtell, daughter of Henry Axtell and Jemima Leonard.

There are so many bizarre ancestor connections on Geni. In 2014 I was trying to find living family for Betty Ash Lay. I have nick-named the connection "over the river and through the woods' way to explain the non-connection. Geni showed we were not even related by marriage. She and my father were cousins.
