Notes for PRICILLA HALL:
Priscilla Hall Prewitt applied for an 1812 war pension for herself. In the application she states that her father, Henry Hall was one of the witnesses at her wedding. Uriah Prewitts land in St. Helena's Parish, Louisiana was next next to John Guynes (Husband of Matilda Hall). Turkey Creek was the border between their two farms. Uriah Prewitt was also a near neighbor of Henry Hall (Pricilla's father), living only about a half mile east of Henry. The land was at and near the village of Chipola, Louisiana today.
Notes for URIAH PREWITT:
Uriah Prewitt was deeded land in St. Helena's Parish, Louisiana from Beasley Prewitt. In Uriah Prewitts bible, the birth of Beasley Prewitts youngest three children are recorded. Perhaps Beasley Prewitt (born in Virginia, in 1740) who later went to Rapides Parish, Louisiana and Texas, was the father of Uriah Prewitt, with Ellen (Helen?) Humphries his mother.

6.WYATT4 HALL (HENRY3, ROBERT2, JAMES1) was born 1787 in North Carolina or Virginia, and died 1852 in Covington County, Mississippi. He married LYDIA SOUTHERN April 25, 1814 in St. Helenas Parish, Louisiana., daughter of SAMUEL SOUTHERN and KEZIAH ?.
Notes for WYATT HALL:
Wyatt Hall was the third child and first son of Henry Hall and Mary Jane Ross. He was born in 1787 in North Carolina, probably Orange County, before the family moved to Georgia.
(However; there is an 1880 Coryell County, Texas Census in which Henry Hall (b.1818) gives the birthplace of his father (Wyatt) as Virginia.- Larry Hall)
They lived on the Oconee River, in Wilkes County, Georgia. At the age of two(?), he moved with his father to St. Helena's Parish, Louisiana. On April 24, 1814, He married Miss Lydia Southern. She was in town visiting the William Williams family. Williams wife, Sentenia, is thought to have been Lydia's sister. ( The Williams family shows up again on an early Texas Census living very near Britton Hall)
Wyatt was a farmer and a Baptist Minister. His Political inclination was to the Democratic Party. According to Copiah County deed books, Wyatt bought original land from the Government on November 21, 1834. On February 19, 1832, he bought land from Louis (Lewis) Southern, who was believed to be Lydia's brother.
Later he moved to Simpson County, Mississippi. Other accounts mention a farm near D'Lo Mississippi.
From the minutes of the Pearl River Baptist Association, now at the Baptist Historical Commission at Clinton Mississippi, ; " Wyatt Hall was a member of the Copiah Baptist Church, Copiah County, Mississippi from 1835 to 1839. He was a delegate to the above mentioned association those years inclusive."
His name is listed in a column of ordained ministers in 1848. He was first Pastor of the New Zion Church, of Westville, Simpson County, Mississippi. He was a delegate of this church to the association of 1849 and 1851. These were the last references made to him. His name appears twice on the list of ministers in annuals of Misissippi Baptist Convention of 1849-1850.
Wyatt died in 1852 in Covington County, Mississippi. He is buried near Braxton Mississippi.
There is no marker on his grave.

Notes for LYDIA SOUTHERN:
Lydia`s family were English.
Lewis (Louis) Southern was probably her brother.
Lewis was born about 1800 and married Elizabeth Hall in Lawrence County Mississippi on March 15, 1821.
There was probably also a brother named William, born 1798 in South Carolina.
Their mothers name was probably Kizah Southern. She was borrn in 176? in South Carolina.
Kizah was Williams mother.
William married Mrs. Mary Ashley on November 19, 1848, in Copiah County, Mississippi.
William Southern moved to Simpson County, Harrisville P.O.< Mississippi by June 26, 1860.
James H Southern probably son of Lewis, married Martha Smith on February 20, 1844 in Copiah County, Mississippi.
In 1863, Lydia died on the farm of Henry, her second son, near Castor Landing, Caldwell Parish, Louisiana. Presumably, she is buried there.
