I have tried to find documentation of Edward Holmes as the father of Elizabeth (Holmes) Riggs and all I can find is that her father was named George, not Edward:

This is based on the baptismal records, according to Wiki, of the children of George Holmes.

If there is documentation that the father was Edward, please provide that to clarify Elizabeth's parentage.

Wiki does show the wife and mother as Elizabeth Rooke.

Correction, Wiki just shows the wife and mother as Elizabeth, no maiden name. So not showing Elizabeth Rooke.

The date and place of birth given for 'Edward' are the same as Wiki shows for 'George'.

However, on Wiki, the parents of George are totally different than those connected here for Edward.
