Johann Philip Otterbach (Utterback) - Disconnecting relationships:

"There are no records of any marriage for him to anyone and no records for him in Virginia. He did not file an Importation Statement in 1724 along with all of the other 1714 immigrants and it's presumed that he died prior to that date, unmarried. There are also no records for any of his brothers, i.e., Johannes Otterbach b. 1693, Johann Jacob Otterbach b. 1695 or Johannes Otterbach b. 1702. Nor did their parents, Hermann and Elisabeth (Heimbach) Otterbach file an Importation Statement in 1724, they are also presumed dead prior to that date.

The Germanna Utterbacks are descended from Johann Henrich Otterbach b. 1698 in Trupbach and Johann Henrich Otterbachb. 1714 in Trupbach, not from any of the sons of Hermann and Elisabeth (Heimbach) Otterbach."
