Albert Jachmann and Auguste “Amalia” Petrich had five children in the Kingdom of Prussia before moving to the Russian Empire. These children were Maria, Emma, Oskar-Karl, Anyuta “Anna”, and Katya. Sometime in the late 1870’s the family left from the Regierungsbezirke of Bromberg and headed to Russia. Albert sold his land and possessions and purchased many horses. The Jachmann Family became equestrian circus performers and traveled throughout Russia riding horses, doing tricks, acrobatics, and pantomime. By 1905 the family had established themselves in the city of Syzran where Albert built a silent movie theatre with the equipment he bought from America. The “Albert Von Jachmann Theater” was in a city park. The theater was destroyed in the 1905 Syzran fire and Albert was killed and buried in the city cemetery with the other victims. Alberts’s wife Amalia and their daughter Anna Wilken’s family survived the fire by fleeing into the Volga River.
