I am looking for verification to the parents of Thomas Parker. Thomas was dropped off at a miller in New York around the age of 8. According to dad's notes, Thomas finished his apprenticeship at age 18 and searched for a couple of years, across 3 States and never saw his parents again. As for the claim of Nicholas Parker, US Rep. VT being his father, I have doubts. A politician protects his integrity so dumping a son and walking away just doesn't sound like a politicians move to me.
In My Heritage I deleted all the kin above Thomas, and I am searching records to see if I can find his actual parents. One thought I had, was that Thomas's mother had passed away and his father was unable to keep him. This would force his father into giving Thomas up. It's also a good possibility that after he departed that he himself passed away, but that is only speculation.
