What evidence exists that gave you the info that Abraham HERB Sr was killed at Monmouth Battlefield, Monmouth Co., NJ?
Since he is my 3rd Great Grandfather, (my line is his son Abraham Jr. then his daughter, Anna Marie Herb, then her son Daniel Gehris, then his son John Gehris, then my father, Roy H. Gehris, then myself, Roy F. Gehris.
I am interested to find this source. I heard that he might have been wounded at Monmouth!

I don't. It looks like the profile was updated by Jim Wile on Dec 20,2020. I have the military burial card saying he died July 10, 1779 and was buried at Hill Church, Pike Twp. PA If the battle was fought in June of 1778 it is unlikely he died in the battle.

OK, I’ll try to contact him and have it corrected.
If he was wounded, which I never found, I doubt that he was considered a Died From Wounds 3 years later!!
If I. Annotate make contact with him, I’ll change it!
