Andrew Leitch, that son of David Leitch and Jean Bryson whose baptism was registered at Glasgow on 20 December 1747, has been identified with Major Andrew Leitch, an American patriot who died on 1 October 1776, of wounds received at the Battle of Harlem Heights, but I have not had sight of the evidence that allows this connection to be made.

Can anyone provide the evidence that is sought after?

Is there a connection between Major Andrew Leitch of the 1st Virginia Regiment, and Andrew Leitch, late Captain in King George IV's 60th Regiment of Foot?

Evidence from the Journals of the House of Lords [Volume 59, page 22]
