Bruno Mayfield Can you come and help us?

Sharon I do see there are quite a lot of sources on the profiles "More about". Have you looked at that?

J

OK No. I see the links are not hose of the files but only take you to the FT site.

I saw on FamilySearch that someone used the same details, birth and death date for Wilhelm Sachse, Duke of Sachsen and placed it under the name of Joachim Sax / Sachse.

I will try and find correct details for Joachim Sachs

Regards

Sharon-Ann Herr

Joachim Sachs

(Joachim Sachs, Prince of Saxe - Sachse)

Born 11 April 1598 - Altenburg, Naumburg, Saxony, Prussia, Germany Deceased 17 May 1662 - Weimar, Sachsen, Deutschlnd(HRR), aged 64 years old Buried - Friedhof Weimar, Weimar, Sachsen, Deutschland(HRR)

NB : The above information is for Wilhelm V Sachse, Duke of Sachsen, but the also added a profile with his information under the name of Joachim Sachs, Prince of Saxe - Sachse).

I don't think that the above details are therefore for Joachim Sax / Sachse as well.

As the birth date and place and death date and place for Wilhelm V, is exactly the same as given for Joachim??

From Wikipedia...

Wilhelm, Duke of Saxe-Weimar (Altenburg, 11 April 1598 – Weimar, 17 May 1662), was a duke of Saxe-Weimar.

Wilhelm was the fifth (but third surviving) son of Johann, Duke of Saxe-Weimar, and Dorothea Maria of Anhalt. He was brother to Bernard of Saxe-Weimar, a successful Protestant general in the Thirty Years' War, and to Ernest I, Duke of Saxe-Gotha (later Altenburg), a successful and well regarded ruler known as "The Pious".

Below link is for Joachim Sax / Sachs 11 April 1598 - 17 May 1662)?????

Joachim Sachs

See the so called marmtches or sources in overview from familysearch are nothing.
They lead to nothing
.Who are the profile managers here?
Did they create this profile?

I cannot find anything that shows that this profile below is linked to any ancestry profiles after / before him (his parents, grandparents etc.)

Johan Joachim Joseph Otto Sachse

I think it was just all made up.

Someone on FamilySearch had changed the name of Wilhelm Sache, Duke of Sachsen to Joachim. Prince of Sache, and added Wilhelm's sources as Joachim's. Then is was added to Geni.

Very Weird!!

Have found lors of those myself on familysearch.
Where do you get the info from for profile X ?
From GENI!!
GENI got the info from profile X !
Here we are spending umpteen hours or days to find correct info.
So easy to just pick anyone and add but creates problens later on.
Why I want to see original certified copy/transcription of any document from valid origin and read it myself

Then again have found some horrendous and very obvious errors on Wikipedia as well.
So now I am over cautious.

Found this info on MyHeritage

Johan Joachim Joseph Otto Sachs, 1627 - 1699
Johan Joachim Joseph Otto Sachs was born in 1627, at birth place, to Joachim Wilhelm Der Grote Prince of Saxe Sachse and Princes Sachse (born Otto).
Joachim was born on April 11 1598, in Altenburg, Saxony, Germany.
Princes was born circa 1602, in Weimar, Saxony, germany.
Johan had one brother: Peter Andreas Sachs.
Johan married Christine (Caroline Wilhelmine Anne Dohne) Sachs (born De Vyff).
Christine was born in 1630, in Egeln, Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany.
They had one son: Joachim Sachs.
Johan passed away in 1699, at age 72 at death place.
He was buried at burial place.

I don't know about you Phillip, but I think Sharon Doubell must rather disconnect the line after Johan Joachim Sachs born 1627, married to Christina de Vyff, as it seems all ligit up until there.

The rest, even the brother, Johan Joachim Sachs

father, Joachim Sachs

brother, Jean Sax

and sister, Élisabeth Baumlin

It looks like profiles just added to Johan Joachim and Christina de Vyff's profiles.

What do you think?

Sharon-Ann --Agree with you .
Losing ancestors but rather none than fake.
Sad about MyHeritage just too many profiles with incorrect data creates total chaos.
My rule now fir profiles : no definite source then no data and no further relationships
I know with most recent profiles you have to trust the family, as I also have no documents for some just what I have in Family Bible and what I have been told .

Done. Check that you're both happy that I Relationship Lock so they're not added back.

Thank you Sharon.

Will continue on my search for sources, including those of other profiles.

Thx Sharon and Sharon-Ann !

:-)
