I have followed Alexander since before I was in art college in the mid 80s. He was a great influence on me and up on my top list of sculptures. I was lucky enough to see his retrospective at the Smithsonian in the late 80s. I have never heard of him being clumped in with what the Nazi’s considered the degenerate artists. Just because he worked during that time does not make him a degenerate artist. He was gone from Europe before the Nazi movement even began. If anyone would’ve considered him a degenerate it would have been the Russians. I disagree with his inclusion in this project

Robert, I see no mention of Alexander Archipenko in the Degenerate Art project.
