I just finished reading a book by descendant N. Brent Kennedy: "The Melungeons, The Resurrection of a Proud People" and he included his genealogy in the book. He has the parents of the James Booker Mullins who was married to Judith / Nancy Stanley as William Mullins and Elizabeth Varner, as do every tree I checked on Ancestry.
Also, I didn't see where he mentioned any other wife other than commenting that perhaps the reason it's uncertain whether his wife's name was Judith or Nancy was he may have been married twice, but he doesn't mention the multiple wives connected to this profile.
