Ngaekiha married my great-great-grandfather, Joseph Graham. Their son James(Timi) had a daughter, Alice Minette Graham who married my grandfather Francis Garland.
I have been told by two knowledgeable people on two different occasions that Nagaekiha was NOT the daughter of Te Awaitaia. One of these people is the whaea who advises the Raglan Museum about local whakapapa. She was adamant that Ngaekiha was not the daughter of Te Awaitaia. She said she would provide me with the whakapapa of Ngaekiha Kahamita, but, sadly, this has not happened.
Can someone clarify this for me, please? Who were Ngaekiha’s parents?
