Hi, there seems to be a link to the De La Hulle (Hill) family as mentioned in notes for William de Hill, Earl of Bridgnorth b 1294 and by the association of William's mother's name.

'Taking the name to "Hill" was an English translation of his mother's line: de Ribemont, which means "ribbon of hills". His grandmother was the widowed Countess Agnes de Ribemont who had an affair with Robert Curthose (son of William the Conqueror) resulting in William of Tortosa.'

So I was wondering if there is any new information on the descendants of William de Normandy.

I have an interest through my line: Budden- Littlefield - Austin - De La Hulle.

Thanks, Paul Budden

As per the information already held on the profile his mother has not been confirmed with certainty but was either Agnes de Ribemont or the daughter of a priest. Until there is more certainty Agnes de Ribemont has been assigned this position. You are welcome to try to research further and update the profile with any newly found sources.

Terry many thanks and Im happy to follow this line.

I cross referenced on other genealogical sites and together with the heraldic information and historical records it leads in to the De La Hulle (Hill) where there are further mentions of William Lord of Tortosa.

Would be nice to have the identity of his son as that could cement the link so I'll continue on that as well and see what appears.

Take care and best regards, Paul
