Lesane Crooks (I do not see a manager)

I know THIS one is the same and am starting a Discussion per request: Private

I have made a request to merge the mother of "Tupac": https://www.geni.com/merge/compare/6000000173597426859?to=600000001...

In looking at the two profiles in pedigree view, I see NO PATH for the official profile but there is one for the profile being researched by Karen.

I have his Parents listed as William Mace "Billy" Garland Jr. born Birth
5 August 1949
New York, United States
His mother is Alice Faye "Afeni" Williams Skakur born 10 January 1947
Death Death
2 May 2016
Sausalito, Marin, California, United States
I know that he had a stepfather by the name of Gus Davis

I have found the following articles on Tupac’s parents
https://www.biography.com/musician/tupac-shakur

https://www.capitalxtra.com/features/lists/tupac-family-tree-facts/...

https://ethnicelebs.com/tupac-shakur

According to this article written by The New York daily time
Gus/Gust Davis is Tupac’s Stepfather
I think this may be where the confusion is coming in

https://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/estranged-husband-tupac-s...

That sounds very plausible.

Karen Sue Showell, you had his father as Lumumba Abdul Garland?

Lori Haynes - Wise will you merge?

Yes Sharon... I noticed that and then I went back in and change it

The mother is the same.
She was born Alice Faye Williams

from the same article Karen posted above:

Tupac’s paternal grandmother was Eloise Marie Barnes (the daughter of Walter Barnes and Carnell Phoenix/Williams). Eloise was born in Florida. A picture of Tupac’s paternal grandparents can be seen here.

Robert Powers apparently is believed to be "Robert Powers, who was the son of a slave named Jeffrey Powers" by genealogists

Looks like the same to me

Remind me to come back and look closely over the weekend, please.
