I found my biological father, and a couple of cousins.
My paternal line changed their last name during World War 2, and is said to be German.
There are no Ashkenazi genetics detected behind my male cousin (out of my paternal uncle).
There is no remaining autosomal DNA from the British Isles detected in my cousins DNA test (23@me, and his mother is pure Filipino).
Records have been lost, but the surname "Bartholomew" is said to have stood out.
I would like to discover the history of my paternal line, what we may be known for, and hopefully learn what my true surname is.
