I am Allen Gill searching for any leads or references to any Gills that migrated from Maryland to KY in early 1800. My GGGGgrandfather was Cornelius who married a Sarah beatty from D.C

I'm at a dead end trying to locate any deeper history about the Gill's. Cannot find any references to names of Cornelius in earlier times. Also my Moms family are Allen's, I have a George Matterson Allen (GGGGrandfather ) Matterson is a Scottish name.
Many of the Hardin County KY pioneers arrives in early 1800/ from Maryland and Virginia. Names like Atcher, Masters Cowley and Sheldon.
Any help greatly appreciated .
