The Joseph Wood who married Ann (actually Jane) Tinker lived in Durham, England, and never set foot in America so far as is known.
It is *very* unclear whether one Joseph Wood (not the Durham, England guy) married both Rachel Lupton and Ann Parkins. It is also unclear whether this Joseph (or one of them) is related to the Anne Arundel Waters family. (*A* Joseph Wood, supposedly of that family, lived and died in Chester County, Pennsylvania. But evidence connecting him with Joseph Wood of Frederick County, Virginia is scanty and circumstantial.)
