Your father, Barry, his brother, Bobby, your cousin, Regina, my sister, Darlene & I all grew up together. Actually Darlene & I are the generation before them, but my mother had children so late in life (she was 36 when she had me; Darlene is a year and a half younger), we came along with our first cousins once removed, rather than with our first cousins. Your great grandmother (I can't believe it!), Otelia, who Darlene and I called "Aunt Tee Tee," along with your great grandfather, Uncle Gus, lived at 51 W 129th in Harlem, NY. We lived in Mt. Vernon, NY in a house along with Uncle Hobart and Aunt Elsie Jones (those are all other stories, but you can certainly look them up in the Geni family tree) at 114 S. 13th Ave. We moved there in 1956, when I was four years old.
We used to visit Aunt Tee Tee and Uncle Gus often, which is how we got to play with Bobby, Barry & Regina as much as we did. Bobby and Barry lived right across the street from them and Regina would visit often also. In fact, we knew your mother, Barbara, too because we would all play in the block.
I've got to go to work, but hopefully we'll get to talk; 914-319-7595 is my number. Just looking quickly, someone added your family to the tree and I'm so appreciative. it looks really thorough.
Take care, your ever lovin' cousin, Tanya
