Presumably the son of David Urquart of Holland Hall, Suffolk
and Judith Laycon

I believe you are correct, Jeremy. The Oxford alumni listing gives his father as David Urquhart. It also corrects his birth place to Holland Hall.

If anyone has a source for it being Hobland Hall vs. Holland Hall -- they both appear to exist -- please share it! For now, we'll use Holland Hall since we have an actual source for that.
