Doesn't "Druze" when written after a surname during this time in history may mean that the person is Adopted? Druze can also mean redhead, but I don't think they would care about the color of his hair.

This may explain why I can't find a hard copy of his birth record. I'm finding everyone else up and down this lineage as well as the Clarke lineage.
