Hi all in the Clackmannan discussion.
Thank you Sharon for creating the discussion according to the Charters.
According to this Charter it would have been impossible for David to have been born 1445
Number 24: 1490 - Instrument of Sesine in favour of David Bruce as heir to David Bruce of Wester Kennet.
David 1st died between 1480 - 1490:as was succeeded by his son David Bruce 2nd of Kennet.
David Bruce 1st had two wives.
1.Agnes Redbeugh
2.Margeret Harries
Number 25: 17 May 1495 - Inquest in vertue of precept from King James 6th, holden at Kennet.Land issue against Gilbert Brady by Agnes Redbeugh.Went in favour of Agnes Redbeugh because she and her husband David Bruce had owned the lands for 50 years.
So according to the Charters
It is impossible that David was born in 1445 and 1392 is more plausible and hence he is referred to as old David.
David Bruce born 1392 fits in with the Chamber's encyclopaedia, Stewart of Alpin, Bruce Nicole, Martin's lineage's.

Dean Ive been saying the same thing for two years now! I've been told I'm correct by Anne Brannen! Saying they can't change the tree as thousands of peoples trees would have to change!, so we keep a fraudulant line as is, no matter!. I've tried and tried to explain the issue's with Sharon Dubell and Anne Brannen to no end, it's like im talking to a rock!
