I am searching for George's parents. I know Jessie Larrabee was married to Ruth Eddy, who may be George's mother. But I believe Jessie and Ruth didn't marry until 1854 and George was born in 1851. Not saying it couldn't have happened. I found the 1870 census that shows a person named Sandusky living with a Jacob Eddy(73 years old), who was Ruth's father. On the 1860 census it does not show George under Jessie and Ruth. On George's death certificate it has both of his parents as unknown. Is it possible that Ruth had George from a previous marriage or out of wedlock? I can not find any information on a previous marriage for her. I also read a story that his mother brought him from Illinois. Her name was Martha Rose Wallace Eddy Appleby. She moved out east after her husband William Eddy died and then she remarried a Justus Appleby and then he died. I can't find any information on her but there is a plaque on a grave in Laddsburg PA(which is in the vicinity of where George lived) that has her name on it. I have pictures of this plaque and have seen it myself.
