Hello, There is confusion on whether John was born in RI or Aberdeen, Scotland? The profile says Aberdeen while the notes mention RI. On Ancestry he is born in Aberdeen. My paternal grandmother was Ora Akin from Charles Akin of Osakis/Motley MN and I have Akin DNA matches.

Aside from the aforementioned statement assumed that he was born in Rhode Island, every other source I ever discovered refers to John Akin’s birth as Aberdeen Scotland.
