My father was John Grissim, son of Dr. John deLafayette Grissim, son of Dr. John deLafayette Grissim (1818-1869).
His daughter, Jeanette deLafayette Grissim Gano, was the grandmother of Howard Robard Hughes, famed billionaire.
I have DNA relatives linking me to his father, Rowland W. Grissim (1783 - 1829), of Tennessee who is the alledged son of Drury Grissom (Gresham) Lincoln County, North Carolina.
I hope someone can tell me more about Rowland W. Grissim who spelled his name this way and those of this children in a Grissim Family Bible. Is there anyone with the Grissim name spelling who can help? My research leads me currently to a dead end.
