Henrie John Briggs And Mary Ellen Briggs Apparently did have a son John in London, but is there evidence he was the same John as John Briggs ?

I'm a direct descendant of John Briggs and would like to see proof of parentage. In addition, I believe he was a carpenter or otherwise worked in wood; the lineage presented seems rather grand...

I do not have any evidence that connects John Briggs son of Henrie Briggs and Mary Hinckes. to John Briggs reported as born in Lynn, Norfolk England. I was tracing back my Briggs side lineage through John Briggs married to Katherine Cornell who emigrated to the Plymouth Colony in 1630s (died in Sandwich, Plymouth Colony, Massachusetts in 1641). This John is as best as I can tell the son of Henrie and Mary reportedly born in Thornbury, Gloucestershire England in around 1615. Henrie is the son of Thomas Briggs of North Wooton, husband of Elizabeth Mounteyn. North Wooton is near the coast close to Kings Lynn and fairly close to Norfold and Salle in England. Thomas is the son of Edward Brigge of Salle, Norfolk England. Edward is part of a long line of Salle Briggs whose lineage goes back to the atte Brigge's and the de Pontibus family who becames Brigge/Briggs. I have a detailed summary that I developed as I traced back my ancestry to early Salle if anyone is interested.

Also note that the name John Briggs/Brigge is very common and occurs throughout both England and the colonies and across many generations so it can be very hard to not mix up the John Brigges/Briggs.
