Hi all. I'm just curious if anyone has some Black ancestors from the NYC area, I've done a lot of research and I'm trying to find the parents of a John Black (1803-1856), likely born in NYC. I have a lot of suspects but nothing close to definitive. DNA testing has lead me to a different surname (Rankin) so another task is to find that connection. Any NYC area researchers are welcome to say hi!
