He went to and India for five years and returned home (to England) and became an Army Reserve on 31 Dec 1898. He was then recalled to the Army and came to South Africa in January 1901. My question. Who's child was Ernest Norgate? Was he Rachel's child out of a previous relationship? There are currently no records of Ernest' baptism records.
