Levi J. Strickland - Two possible fathers

Make that three possible fathers. Another copy of this gentleman (Rev Levi James Strickland) says his parents were Joel Strickland and Effie Mariah Marchino. We currently have Mary Strickland as his mother.

I'm not going to merge his Levi's duplicate siblings until we know the parents. Hopefully some managers can weigh in, since you've already done this research and might already know the source(s) of confusion

Levi J. Strickland born 1812. His father is Gabriel Strickland. A courthouse in Tattnall County Georgia has a lawsuit between Gabriel's three children by wife Mary surname unknown. Children are Elizabeth, Abraham. and Levi J,, the lawsuit was against Gabriel's second wife Rachel Ramsey. She contested that these three children from Mary were bastard children and did not warrant getting of Gabriel's estate. The papers were found by genealogist Monica "Weezee" Mullins of Waycross, Georgia. Levi was a popular name evidently. Levi J. had a son named Levi J. also. I think that Gabriel's father was possibly a Levi J. Strickland but have not found any real documentation for it. These Stricklands get confusing because that they all connect somehow.
