I'm the founder of The MAGID Surname Project at FTDNA. My first test was Y-111 at FTDNA. The result is Q-M242. I joined the Rebekah Canada led Q project and further analysis revealed Q-Y2754.
I found a revision list record with my 5th ggp's Rav Iudel and Rivka [KATZENELLENBOGEN] MAGGID, living together with my 4th ggf, David MAGGID, Avraham Ragoler MAGGID, et al.
Maybe Maciamo Hay "borrowed" this information from me? He also published an article claiming this to be the Y Haplogroup of HaGRA. Unfortunately, he does not respond to my correspondence.

Dear Ezra,
The backstory is much appreciated and confirms the Q-Y2754 signature. I would not be surprised if Maciamo Hay got his information from your tree on GENI. May I suggest that you upload your FTDNA results to GENI? This would lend much authority to the signature and avoid doubt about Maciamo Hay's source. This can be done easily by accessing the DNA tab on your profile. The information you enter there will propogate to your pedigree automatically.
Cordially,
Adam
PS: I have posted my reply here for the sake of public awareness of this important discussion.
