I have been unable to locate a birth record for James. I have however found a record for his birth date, 28/08/1906, for an un-named male in the Colbeck, Old Harbour area of Jamaica, with parents noted as Indian - Coolies. Mother's name Bordhia and father, Ramsaloope (not sure if these are first or surnames and the spelling is questionable - could be Boodia or Ramsarupe for example).
