In another Discussion Carol Robins gives info - including " Minnie Yaffe Damelin is related to me through my grandfather, Wm. Yaffe, brother of Shaia, father of Minnie (1888-1918)."
She has also stated that
"This has been a confusing item for us for some time. William (Wolf) had a sister, Fannie Yaffe Tankel, a brother Charles (Jaffe, Jaffee), another brother Moses, and a brother Shaia, father of Minnie Yaffe Damelin and Louis Yaffe. I know there is a 1841 date for a Shaia, but we have concluded this is a different generation. The Shaia brother of Wm. is listed as born in 1866 or 1868 on familysearch."
