James Maxwell - James and James Francis

You will notice tha Margery Maxwell is set apart. Initial research had Mary Maxwell being born 25 Jan. 1674. The same date as Margery. Boston birth registrations list Mary's birth as 25 Jan. 1673 and not 74. I believe that Mary and Margaret are actually the same person.

This is probably not a complete list. James Maxwell was supposed to have had 30 children.

My main concern was the James Maxwell who was married to Patty Audley. He is my 6th Great Grandfather.

Notice that both James 1 and 2 have the same date of death. I have found ONE record that has the fathers death at 6 Jun '78. James' (2) birthdate is also curious 15 Feb 1674. The same month and day of James (3). Notice also that James (2) married Patty in 1695. That is AFTER the death of Dorcas Stone. What if, and I've thought this true for a long time, James 1 and 2 are actually the same person and Patty Audley was his third wife? Granted he would have been a 60 year old man marrying a much younger wife, but within the realm of possability.
