Its very interesting to know that the origin of the kutchi memon community is traceable to the the exact number of people and the year on which they became a community. 24 generations ago 700 families 6178 people are now roughly 2 million strong. This project should probably identify the initial list and then start building from there, unfortunately I'm not aware of the other branches of memons but i'm sure the story is similar
