I've come across conflicting information for this family, I know they were Baptist Church members at some point, their son Aner is a notes Baptist minister, and a few other children are mentioned as Baptist, John Anthony, Jr as well.

As I'm working going over docs I came upon Quaker Meeting notes the same names etc. These guys were fighters, not Quakers-

Son, Mark Anthony well-documented officer in the war of 1812 - married a Leftwich daughter- again I come across a Quaker meeting of a marriage of an Emelia Leftwich and Mark Anthony as Quakers, impossible, right?

All lineages are difficult when they're in this era, but then their land is under a large lake now, not sure where the docs were transferred before they flooded this large area.

Did Quakers bear arms?

I found they were Quaker only until until John Anthony Sr. time. Evidently when they chose to stand for the Revolution this was against The Friends Society beliefs. We should be able to find the church records. A few of the Anthony’s may have attended Methodist Churches as well.
