John Hopton, b.1399 - Dates do not appear correct

This line is taken from the traditional family pedigree, collected by Hopkinson and printed by Thoresby in 1715.

A 2nd edition was published by Whitaker in 1816 but doesn't add anything.

As you see, there are no dates before 1558.

I haven't come across a properly researched pedigree of this family. But there could be one lurking in an old journal.
