They are not the same. They may have some of the same book names, with similar stories, but the only commonality the religion of Judaism has with the law practices of the ancient Hebrews is when the ancient Hebrews were following the ways of the heathen nations around them. There is plenty of historical research written on this, but the owners of most of the publishing houses dont want the general public to know this information and those same owners control mainstream media, Hollywood, and most other industries these days.
To be clear, Judaism was not the Law/government of the ancient Hebrews as given to them by their Creator. Judaism came from Talmudism in the 3rd century which came from phariseism most of which was from non-Hebrew people who adopted the beliefs of the Hebrews during their time in Persia and later. Many of these people who adopted the beliefs were Edomites who were looking to profit from laws passed during Queen Esters reign. Over time they added Babylonian pagan beliefs which is why it is called the Babylonian Talmud. They continue to add their traditions of men to their book which includes many things Christian would be appalled at if they only knew what the Talmud contained. For example, it is okay for a priest to marry a three year old girl and its not adultery for a woman to have sex with a boy under 9 years and one day old.
In the early to mid 8th Century an Mongolian/Hunnish people called Khazars adopted the religion and it is this group who started Zionism and control Israel today.
Judaism is a polytheistic pagan religion and in no way is it related to Christianity. They are the people the Christian Bible warns of in Rev 2.9

Khazars are descendants of Ashkenazi and Ashkenazi according to Moses in Genesis 10 is a descendant of Japheth, brother of Shem and so they are not Semites but use Antisemitism to hide their criminal activities behind.
The only reason I am posting this is because Christian Churches are full of false teachers, who where taught lies in Seminary about who Israel is today and they need to understand we are living in a time of great deception where we each need to be responsible for our individual salvation and not trust someone else to tell us what the Bible means.
