The document listing Sarah/Sadie's maiden name as "Proputua" ("Propst" is the closest thing I can find on Jewishgen.org; maybe it was supposed to be "Papotnick", which is itself vanishingly rare) has caused a lot of confusion for any of us studying the family tree. Sadlie's brother was named Max Brayer. While it is possible Max and Sadie were half-siblings, or that Sarah had another husband before Morris and so already had a different surname, I think this record is suspect. Noting that they list Louis as a "bookkeeper." No; he was a bookseller, which sort of sounds similar but isn't the same thing at all.
