Hi my name is Jake Seymour. Paternally through my father and his fathers father etc I am the great great great grandson of Algernon Seymour. I believe this family tree may be somewhat off slightly based on my own records and information. Algernon Seymour and wife are the mother and father of Thomas Escrick Seymour. (Algernon did have a brother named Thomas Seymour who he arrived with on the ship “Caroline Agnes” on 5/5/1852. You seem to have confused Algernons son, Thomas Escrick Seymour, with his brother of the same name whom he arrived in Australia with. The passenger list from 1852 lists Algernon Seymour as a police officer. Thomas Escrick Seymour
Reference if you want to search: SHIP CAROLINE AGNES -
126+ passengers from London and Plymouth 5/5/1852
Thomas Escrick Seymour fathered 7 children one of whom was Norman Seymour, a soldier in WWI who is my great grandfather. It’s pretty cool to trace my direct paternal heritage as far back as Algernons father James born in 1791 which is now the furthest I’ve traced my family back to so thank you for the information. I’m wondering your connection with the family? Thanks for the work on everything you’ve done a great job.

Hi Jake
One of the wonderful things about Geni is the collaborative effort and meeting distant relatives. Thank you for getting in touch.
The Seymour family is related to me by marriage, so I built the tree for my children and grandchildren. I have to say it was not easy!
You are free to update/correct the tree as you see fit and, if you like, I can make you a manager of Algernon??? Being a manager just means you will be asked before certain changes are made. Any person can 'follow' any profile and become managers if their personal tree links in.
This tree is quite old now and so I have started to update it.
As well, there is a tree on FamilySearch - which has supporting sources attached to most individuals. Here is the link to Algernon Seymour b1828.(https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/KXXN-Q21). FamilySearch is free to use but you must register first.
