When Bessie Perl Yelley was born on April 16, 1892, in South Webster, Ohio, her father, Hiram, was 36, and her mother, Catharine, was 29. She married Frank Belcher and they had three children together. She then married Steve Horsely and they had three children together. She died on November 2, 1957, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, at the age of 65, and was buried in Dayton, Ohio.
