I have found a reference in the book titled "Descendants of Reinold and Matthew Marvin of Hartford, CT 1638 and 1635, Sons of Edward Marvin of Great Bentley, England" by George Franklin Marvin of New York and William T.R. Marvin of Boston, on page 52 that states the mother of James Beckwith, married to Sarah Marvin, is Sarah, no maiden name given.
I have seen the will of John Hill and it lists 2 daughters, Elizabth and Sarah.
My question is........which daughter married James? U.S. New England Marriages Prior to 1700 has Sarah and Elizabeth Hill with question marks. A direct descendant of James and Sarah Marvin told me that James' mother is Sarah Elizabeth Hill, daughter of John Hill and Frances Symonds. A christening record of James has his mother listed as Elizabeth and Matthew Bequet.
Does anyone have an actual copy of the marriage record or other identifying information I can see?
