The parents and siblings listed on this website are incorrect. Even with DNA testing with a known descendant of the South Carolina Durrs, we are at least 2 generations out. It is believed that David, Michael, & Jim's father died when they were young and their mother remarried then moved to Monroe Co., AL area. There are no probate or tutorship papers that show who their father was and the mother died after they left for Louisiana. I have been to the Alabama State Archives and all counties in existence when they were in Alabama and there are NO RECORDS that give the parents.
