With husband Jonas B. Ariansen age 27, Bolette age 18 sailed on ship called Olaf and arrived in New York in 1872. Bolette’s first child was born in Wisconsin in 1873. They adopted the last name Arian. She was my great grandmother. Her daughter Benedikta Marie (Marie) Arian Watten was my grandmother.
My deceased father Leonard Vernon Watten who grew up in Minneapolis remembered visiting his grandmother Bolette as a young child in Wisconsin in the 1920s. Jonas Arian had died of a heart attack and Bolette remarried Tidemon Gilbertsen a farmer. She also outlived Mr. Gilbertsen and in old age She lived among her adult children in Minneapolis. She is buried at the Crystal Lake Cemetary in Minneapolis Minnesota with my grandparents Sivert and Marie Watten.

Then please add what you know to the profile and add husbands, children and grandchildren to her tree, so the Norwegian side of the family will get to know the descendants of Bolette and the Americans would get to know her ancestry. This will benefit families both in USA and Norway and maybe you can get to have a closer contact with each other.
