Working through this line and I don't understand the cut of Farmariah Atkinson Miller from William as a wife and the children added to him: Danat, Abigail, Sarah, Rufus, and Samuel. I see no sources for this addition or where these people are even located. Just some date ranges.

Can you look at this Erica Howton ? Looks like you made some edits in the Revisions tab. I do not find any of these people anywhere in Horry or Marion County, SC or even Fluvanna, VA. Maybe I am attached to the wrong one if their are two. I am from the one at Miller's Church. I know it well as it was 12 miles from where I grew up.

Thanks so much. Susanne

Maybe this is the one William Norton, Sr.

I don't know. Makes no sense to me anymore with what I have been told.

I think the source I googled up was just really wrong & I should merge to your source. Am I reading the chart right that parents of William who married widow Miller were

Jacob Norton
b. abt 1731– d. ca 1795
m. 1738 Sarah Beasley b.1723 - d. ca 1792

Yes, and Jacob's father was William Norton of Bladen County, NC and mother Sarah Beasley.

Thanks for any help. I just do not know where those other children come from.

Sorry, William Norton of Bladen County married Mary Stewart. Sarah Beasley was his son Jacob's wife.

Many thanks Erica Howton! It does look much better. I agree that there are a lot of missing family. Many may be buried at Miller's Church. It is one of the oldest in the Pee Dee region and named for "William Norton's wife's first husband's family." Try saying that three times. I will try to find them and as always, I will let you know if I need help! The "Widow Miller" had several Miller children too. I have seen them listed somewhere. Again, thanks.
