My ancestor Daniel G. Livingston (1814-1866) moved from Marlboro County, South Carolina to Madison County, Florida in the early 1840's along with other family members including the Townsends. He was the son of Archibald Livingston (c.1780-1857). I have always wondered what inspired him to move to Florida and it appears that there were other Livingstons living there at the time (Madison Livingston) but I can find no familial connection. I suspect there must have been but not sure what it was. Can anyone help clarify this mystery.
