It is now easy for me to give a mental picture of my grandmother Cosper for anyone. She was a VERY gentle LADY. She was about 56 years old when she and I first met and always was a very delicate person; in fact, a semi-invalid.

One day when I was a big girl I saw her ironing a white tablecloth which sight was such a surprise to me that I spoke of it to her. She said she had never done any housework except just that one simple task. I asked her why she did even that much when she had plenty of help whose work it was. Her answer - "I like to see the pattern's show up".

Grandma was a devout Christian - a Scotch Irish Presbyterian from a North Ireland family named McMonigal. (When we were on a trip to Chicago from New Jersey some years ago we looked for and found a cemetery at Newville, Pa. where the early McMonigal graves are marked with gravestones bearing dates.)

A great amount of my time was spent with Grandma who talked with me about the Bible she read so much. I think she prayed a lot about my salvation and would be happy if she were here today and could know that Jesus Christ is my Personal Saviour.
