Does anybody think that Isaac Wallace HarlemIsaac Harlem was married twice? Census records seem to contradict this.

Have a marriage index with Henrietta Stern as spouse married 1888. This index includes Samuel and Amelia as parents, which matches other data. Also 1910 and 1920 census with Isaac married to Henrietta.

Also have a 1900 census with Isaac married to Minnie. Isaac's birthdate seems off on this record

I'm beginning to think that Isaac son of Samuel and Amelia was not married to Minnie, but to Henrietta. Any thoughts?

I believe Isaac Wallace Harlem was only married to Henrietta Stern. They married 9 Oct 1888 and Henrietta is mentioned as spouse in Isaac’s New York death certificate in 1924. Also, have a 1900 census, highlighting daughter Edith, and it shows Isaac and Henrietta together. Therefore, the 1900 census with wife Minnie doesnt seem to fit and Isaac had only one wife. If you should find contrary evidence, please let me know.

I agree that all the other records indicate that Henrietta Stern was his wife. My mistake for going by the 1900 census. Sorry!

It might take me some time to fix Minnie and her family, but please go ahead and add to Henrietta. I'm related via Augusta and her husband. VERY sorry for my mistake
